What you’ll do:
Key Job Objectives
To support the Finance Team:
Month end and financial reporting
Finance review meeting reporting
Wider Leadership Team reporting
Other Duties:
Month end close and reporting duties to include but not limited to key responsibilities below
Analyses
Journal preparation
General Ledger Reconciliations
Coordinating weekly reporting requirements for business unit
BU monthly reporting
Balance sheet reconciliations
Support to budget and forecast presentations
R&D tax calculation
Monthly preparation and submission of VAT return
Preparation of Eurofighter VOP calculation
Support to Operations Finance Lead, including standard costs, job card variance investigation, and inventory held at suppliers
Ad hoc support to the Finance leadership team
Qualifications:
Preferable but not essential:
Graduate – preferably in a related subject area
Skills:
Numerate, logical and able to express yourself clearly in figures , verbal and written presentations
Able to work to strict deadlines whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy
A confident communicator, able to work effectively at all levels of the organisation
Able to display the gravitas to operate and influence at a senior level
Further competencies will be provided via the competency matrix, and linked to the relevant job level
Part qualified accountant, AAT, CIMA, or ACCA, able & willing to complete study under a training programme
