Our mission-driven team is seeking a bold and dynamic Drawing Checker who is preoccupied with big questions: Where do we go from here? What are the limits of innovation and exploration? SUMMARY: Our team is looking for a diligent and dynamic Drawing Checker who will primarily be responsible for aiding Axiom’s CAD Team with designing and developing the parametric 3D models and drawings associated with the Axiom Station. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about precision and excels at creative thinking. The role requires a strong understanding of the 3D CAD environment, effective time management, and effective communication skills.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring consistent and accurate product file is generated from the engineering department

  • Develop and implement drawing and MBD standards for Axiom Station

  • Checking drawings created by the CAD Team

  • Work with engineers to provide guidance on design for manufacturability and maintenance

  • Adhere to and stay current with applicable standards and specifications

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Education & Experience

  • Minimum 5+ or more years’ experience creating CAD drawings with ASME Y14 standards

  • Minimum 5+ or more years’ using 3D CAD for drawing creation (SolidWorks)

  • Technical degree or relative CAD certifications (if less than 15 years of experience)

  • Proficient in 3D CAD environment, preferably with SolidWorks

Essential Functions

  • Work Environment: Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on the task

Requirements

  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation

  • Management has the prerogative to select at any level for which the position is advertised

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position

Physical Requirements

  • Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of the time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of the time)
