Position Description: Ryerson has an opportunity for an Account Representative. As an Account Representative you are responsible for maintaining and growing transactional business with established current and past assigned customers in the Portland/Tacoma marketplace. Roles and Responsibilities: * Process customer orders, makes sales calls and works to establish relationships with customers. * Build territory/account by approaching and monitoring resources * Collaborates with departments to execute account development plans * Works within established procedures with a moderate degree of supervision * Identify concerns by, assessing each concern by using standard procedures using sound decisions making skills * Prioritizes concurrent customer's demands and provides satisfactory service to all * Balances concurrent requests for assistance from internal and external customers for customer service issues * Completion of task with speed and accuracy *All other duties as assigned or duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice Position Requirements: *Bachelor's degree preferred *Prior industry experience is preferred, Ideally in Bar & Tube sales/Distribution *Excellent professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills required *Proficiency within Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word) required *Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a rapidly changing environment *Positive attitude, competitive, goal-oriented, driven with a passion to excel *Flexible and solutions-oriented *High degree of business ethics Salary: $25.66--$32.07 hourly, starting salary higher than $25.66 is based on a level of experience and education that significantly exceeds the minimum requirements and is commensurate with the compensation scale We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and do not discriminate against any employee or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex (including gender identity, sexual orientation or preference, and pregnancy), age, national origin, religion, disability or genetic information, marital status, status as a veteran, or any other federal, state or local protected class or artificial barrier.
