Kadiak, LLC, a leading provider of innovative solutions to federal government clients, is seeking an Engineering Manager. This position will play a crucial role in assisting to lead a diverse team that includes Engineering Group Leads, Mechanical Engineers, Construction Managers, Environmental Managers, and more.

Essential Functions, Responsibilities & Duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Leading and managing a team of professionals responsible for facility-related engineering projects.

  • Providing technical expertise and guidance in facility electrical engineering, mechanical engineering (HVAC), construction design, or structural engineering.

  • Overseeing and coordinating the work of various engineering groups to ensure successful project completion.

  • Leading the development and implementation of engineering strategies and best practices.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality engineering solutions that meet client requirements.

  • Mentoring and coaching team members to foster professional growth and development.

Work Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility-related electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, facility design, or structural engineering.

  • Experience in managing engineering projects in a complex environment.

  • Deep technical expertise in facility-related engineering disciplines.

  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead a diverse team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency in project management techniques and methodologies.

  • Knowledge of engineering design principles and industry standards.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging work environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Structural, Civil) or a related field.

Desired Skills and Competencies:

  • Professional engineering license (PE) or relevant certifications.

  • Experience working on government facility projects or in a similar environment.

  • Knowledge of federal regulations and compliance requirements.

  • Familiarity with facility maintenance and sustainability practices.

  • Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances.

Working Environment & Conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

This position is primarily indoors, consistent with a standard office position and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. The incumbent is required to stand, walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. The workload may require the incumbent to sit for extended periods of time. The incumbent must be able to read, do simple math calculations and withstand moderate amounts of stress.

The incumbent must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
