As a Field Engineer at Frontier-Kemper, reporting to the Project Manager, you will have the opportunity to:

· Assist foremen and superintendents with site management, quality control, safety, and scheduling.

· Prepare work plans outlining the works including equipment and material procurement

· Participate in the development of concrete, grout and shotcrete mix designs

· Complete the testing of concrete, grout and shotcrete

· Perform and oversee subcontractor activities and complete applicable Quality Control

· Complete daily reports of completed activities and quality documents

· Develop and produce construction work plans and method statements

· Possess a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet software

· Work on the TBM along side TBM crews and supervision

· Ensure construction activities are completed safely while maintaining required quality

Requirements:

· Minimum of two years in related underground construction or heavy civil experience

· Experience involving form installation and removal, rebar installation, and concrete pumping, placement, and finishing preferred

· Experience working with grout and use of admixtures

· Familiarity with tunneling equipment

· Experience supervising construction projects for a general contractor

· Experience with hard rock main beam and/or slurry TBM’s preferred

· Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel

· Bachelor degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology or Construction Management or relatedfield
