Job Title: Material Handler, Distribution

A Day in the Life:

  • Receiving, examining, sorting, arranging, counting, storing, picking, and packing items for storage and/or shipment in accordance with established procedures and customer requirements.

  • Preparing and filing routine documentation.

  • Maintaining quality metrics.

  • Operating material handling equipment (e.g. hand truck, pallet jack, Forklift etc).

  • Working in and out of a +4c walk-in Cold Room and -20c walk-in Freezer.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

  • 1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred.

  • Experience with Inventory Control and/or with a life science company is a plus.

  • Experience using a forklift, handheld scanners, Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and/or E1 (Oracle) software, or lean tools is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Ability to stand and move about the warehouse for significant periods of time (involving walking, stooping, bending, and reaching) required.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Desire to work as part of a team, but also able to work independently and solve problems quickly.

  • Ability to read and write in English.

  • Ability to lift, carry, and push up to 25 lbs. on a continuos basis.

  • Must be flexible to work varying schedules, hours, and overtime as needed.

  • This position requires the individual to be ready to start work on-time daily and also may require over time when demand fluctuates. Unplanned unapproved / missed-time is required to be less than 2% annually.

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in California is $13.82–$20.73.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
