About you and this role –

Dow has an exciting opportunity for an Improvement Engineer supporting our Catalyst Plant in Seadrift, TX! In this role, you will serve as a vital resource for Operations by applying technical and organizational skills to drive the plant-level continuous improvement program targeted at delivering maximum value from the assets, while continuously improving process safety and production efficiency. The key deliverable for this role will be in the identification, scope development, and project shepherding execution necessary to implement cost-effective solutions in partnership with TES.

Responsibilities –

  • Scope development and execution of capital and expense projects for the Catalyst unit

  • Partners with plant operation and maintenance personnel to identify and track performance indicators to be used in identification of technology gaps and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Leads and supports plant continuous improvement activities aligned to the PSTP and also supports the capital plan for the facility. Leads continuous improvement activities for the facility and may serve in specific GPM-related roles of the project manager or manufacturing representative.

  • Drive knowledge exchange with technology experts to increase awareness of potential improvement opportunities for the technology.

  • Partner with experts to develop and implement a Plant Specific Technology Plan that delivers positive returns while meeting plant-level EH&S improvement goals.

  • Lead and support plant continuous improvement activities aligned to the PSTP and also support the capital plan for the facility. Serve in project execution roles as project manager or manufacturing representative.

  • Partner with plant operations and maintenance personnel to identify and track performance indicators to be used in identification of technology gaps and continuous improvement opportunities.

  • Supports the facility's root cause investigation process by serving as a team member or facilitator for incidents related to process technology.

Qualifications –

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering is required.

  • A minimum of 2 years of engineering, manufacturing, or related experience is required.

  • A minimum requirement for this U.S. based position is the ability to work legally in the United States. No visa sponsorship/support is available for this position, including for any type of U.S. permanent residency (green card) process.
