Summary of Role:

Development, evaluation, qualification, and productization of leading-edge RRAM bit cells for FDSOI technologies in close cooperation with other global GlobalFou departments.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Definition of RRAM bit cell layout.

  • Definition of RRAM device and array test structures in close cooperation with the respective design teams.

  • Definition of test programs for WET testing an RRAM array characterization in close cooperation with the respective test and yield teams.

  • Electrical data analysis of the impact of process splits on RRAM bit cell electrical parameters and parametric yield.

  • Electrical data analysis of bit cell device and array test structures for improvement/development of test structures and methods.

  • Supporting the creation of suitable electrical models (TCAD, SPICE) and its validation for RRAM bit cell.

  • Development of best electrical operation algorithm (program, erase, read) for RRAM bit cell in device level and in array level.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

  • Other duties as assigned by manager.

  • Close cooperation with the PDK team for RRAM enablement.

  • Customer communication as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Education – Minimum requirement is a Bachelor's degree in microelectronics, electrical engineering, physics, or similar subjects with an emphasis on NVM memory bit cells, ideally with RRAM experience.

  • Experience - Minimum Years of 3 … 8 years of industry experience in the field of NVM memory devices depending on the highest degree.

  • Skills – Proficient in development of RRAM bit cells, including their characterization and optimization. Excellent understanding of the manufacturing process steps determining the electrical performance of RRAM bit cells. Practical experience of the electrical characterization of RRAM bit cells, memristor and the access device. Good understanding of the process flow of sub 2x nm silicon manufacturing processes. Experienced user of standard data evaluation tools. Advanced user of Microsoft Office Tools. Excellent presentation skills.

  • Travel – < 10 %. Select travel for customer visits or visiting different GlobalFoundries sites.

  • Fluency in English Language – written & verbal.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Education - Master's degree or Ph.D. degree in microelectronics, physics or similar subjects, ideally for NVM and/or RRAM device topics.

  • Experience - Ph.D. degree with 3+ years of industry experience.

  • Skills - Knowledge about FDSOI technology and devices. Proficiency in the use of analysis software like Spotfire, Jmp, or others suitable for analysis on complicated and large amount of data.

  • Project management skills - i.e., the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • German language skills will be good addition.

  • Strong planning & organizational skills.
