Fine Wine Specialist - LACM (Latin America, Caribbean & Mexico)

This position will be based in San Juan, PR (within 90 minutes driving distance) or Sunrise, FL and requires regular travel within your assigned territory. Occasional travel to company sites may be required as needed.

Your mission will be to cultivate and execute a visionary sales plan that not only meets but exceeds our annual goals.

You will be the key player in training and motivating distributor salespeople and district managers, guiding them towards unparalleled success in the fine wine landscape. Your ability to inspire will also extend to distributor management, where your leadership will ignite a passion for our premium brands, driving sales and distribution to new heights. Collaboration is at the heart of this role. Working closely with distributor management, you will set ambitious sales goals, establish priorities, and create incentives that foster achievement. Your strategic mindset will be crucial in developing local market advertising, promotion plans, and sales incentives that resonate with our target audience. Moreover, your coordination with the Regional Marketing resource will ensure that the materials needed to activate our brand locally are both impactful and readily available. Your influence will extend beyond external partnerships, as you work collaboratively within our team to build relationships with key accounts, identify pricing opportunities, and ensure brand consistency. Balancing long-term planning with the demands of the day-to-day, you will be the driving force behind demos, tastings, and inventory management, all while keeping a keen eye on performance goals and ensuring compliance with quality, environmental, and safety regulations. What You Will Need:

  • Bachelor's degree plus 2 years of Gallo Winery sales or distributor sales management experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility; or Bachelor's degree plus 3 years of luxury wine sales management or luxury wine restaurant/hospitality experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalency certificate plus 6 years of Gallo Winery sales or distributor sales management experience reflecting increasing levels or responsibility; OR High school diploma or State-issued equivalent plus 7 years of luxury wine sales management or luxury wine restaurant/hospitality experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Candidates for this position must have a valid driver’s license and a safe driving record. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.

  • Required to travel by air and automobile up to 50% during the course of the business to include overnight travel.

  • Required to employ an alternative work schedule to include evenings and weekends.

  • Required to see, taste, and smell wine and perform wine tastings as part of job functions.

  • Required to be 21 years of age or older.

  • Experience demonstrating strong leadership selling, time management, public speaking skills.

  • Bilingual: English/Spanish.

  • Required to travel to company offices, sites, and/or meeting locations for onboarding, training, meetings, and events for development, department needs, and business delivery up to 5% of the time, with or without reasonable accommodation.     What You Will Set You Apart:

  • Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of Gallo Winery sales or distributor sales experience reflecting increasing levels of responsibility.

  • Experience selling or marketing Gallo brands.

  • Fine wine education: Sommelier/WSET/CSW Certifications.

    Compensation:

  • Hiring salary range posted: $75,145 - $112,765 / year

  • Actual compensation paid within the range will be determined by factors such as the education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
