Job Description:
Parsons is looking for a driven and skilled Principal Project Bridge Engineer for our rapidly expanding portfolio of projects! If you’re looking to take your career to the next level, Parsons will provide you the resources and environment to expand in your technical knowledge and professional expertise within bridge engineering while working alongside a team of highly experienced engineers on major Texas State and area projects that will have substantial impact on your community and the general public!
What You'll Be Doing:
Developing the scope of work, schedules, and budgets for the assigned bridge project elements, and monitoring progress to meet schedule/budget requirements
Interfacing with Procurement and Subcontracts to facilitate coordination with vendors/subcontractors
Participating in quantity analysis to help determine project costs
Reviewing and directing the use of applicable design criteria, codes, standards, and procedures in development of project documents
Monitoring productivity and technical proficiency of assigned personnel for task completion
Coordinating allocation of interdisciplinary technical personnel on the project and assigning personnel from other technical support groups
Assisting the Project Manager in planning, directing, supervising, and controlling the execution of technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the project or study
Participating in definition of the technical skills and staff hours required for successful completion of the project
Ensuring client criteria/scope are met by all engineering disciplines
Expediting distribution of action items following discussions/meetings with the client/Project Manager
Understanding the client's business goals in order to enhance the project work
Preparing technical calculations, reports and documentation of activity for the client and project management
Acting as Project Manager's deputy for certain activities, such as attending meetings in his/her absence, etc.
Mentoring technical staff in their career development
Obtaining, analyzing, and circulating technical and contractual information to project disciplines
Reviewing and approving change orders – Notifying project management and other affected personnel of all changes
Participating regularly in decision-making meetings with the client and project management
Providing oversight and quality control reviews of project documents
Leading task force meetings for project development
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Texas PE
Qualified to serve as a Bridge Design Task Lead on TxDOT projects
15+ years of bridge engineering experience
Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural Emphasis
Previous supervisory experience in a project engineering role
Excellent written and oral communications skills with thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations
Experience in development of RFP responses for traditional public sector work
Thorough understanding of current technology and ability to appropriately apply appropriate engineering software for project use
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Master's Degree preferable
Capable of hiring and building support team to complete project

Salary Range:
$117,000.00 - $210,600.00
