Job Description Summary

HR Business Partner for Prague Production Plant, 300+ employees

Working closely with management and employees and providing hands-on and strategic input, insight, and advice on people-related issues (e.g. employee relations, coaching/development, talent management, compensation, conflict management, organizational development, and training).

HR plays an essential role in establishing and driving HR programs and talent initiatives forward within specific company functions, while always ensuring they align with a company's business objectives.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • A first point of contact for employees & managers who provides leadership, coaching and support for individual employee needs & HR processes. For use in businesses that are operating in the HR Partnership Model.

  • Broadening knowledge of theories, practices and procedures in own discipline to execute functional policy/strategy; still developing functional knowledge and skills.

  • Basic understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. Good understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.

  • May have some autonomy to make decisions within a defined framework. Resolves issues in situations that require good knowledge and judgment within established procedures. Consults more senior team members for issues outside of defined policy/parameters.

  • A job at this level requires good interpersonal skills. For customer facing roles, develops strong customer relationships and serves as the interface between customer and GE. Explains technical information to others.

Required Qualifications

  • For roles outside of the USA- This role requires advanced experience in the Human Resources & Employee Human Resource Management. Knowledge level is comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ( or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

  • For roles in USA - Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 6 years of experience in Job Family Group(s)/Function(s)).

Desired Characteristics

  • University degree in related field, with a minimum 5 years of experience in the HR Business Partner role.

  • Demonstrated experience in the various HR functional areas, specially employee relations, change management, organization development.

  • Deep knowledge of HR practices and programs, including labor code and relevant Czech regulations.
