Your Role

The purpose of this role is to complete warehouse activities to meet the needs of the business; to achieve Contractual Key Performance Indicators and Metrics; and to undertake Continuous Improvement activities. This role is a Government & Defence logistics activity

Your Responsibilities

• Perform all warehousing activities, for which you have been appropriately trained, necessary to meet operational needs and performance.

• Work IAW the QSHE guidelines, ABC and working instructions for all tasks and not put self or others at risk by taking short cuts.

• Report all incidents, hazards and unsafe practices in the working environment in a timely manner

• Have good awareness of where the Departmental Instructions/Work Instructions are and follow procedures correctly to ensure stock accuracy and safety.

• Operate Warehouse Management Systems and carry out other assigned computer tasks as required

• Take responsibility for your own work accuracy, and to always handle products with care

• Ensure good customer and employee relations through effective communication.

• Identify weaknesses in processes that would benefit from Continuous Improvement activity

• Support and encourage team ethics and values within your working environment

Your Skills and Experiences

• Good level of numeracy and literacy

• Warehouse experience

• Trade Counter experience

• Manufacturing / Production environment awareness / experience.

• Personal Drive – self-motivated, target driven, reliable and flexible.

• Teamwork – communication skills.

• Managing Performance of self and team

• Customer Orientation

• Understanding of PUWER & LOLER regulations.

• PC Literate

• MHE Trained ( although MHE training can be offered to successful candidate)
