Major Responsibilities / Activities



Project Management of Targeted Clinical Programs with Customers * Conduct a comprehensive Clinical Needs Assessment and Evaluation of the opportunity supporting the sales organization to evaluate barriers to growth, and support future project planning as required. * Develop detailed project plans working with sales team members and customers in order to drive results of mutually aligned goals and key deliverables (Baxter/Customer). Projects may be either “Collaboratives” – Acquisition focused or “CQI” – Retention (Attrition) focused * Ensure at all time alignment of key messaging of Baxter’s Products and Therapy are with current positioning and business priorities; and identify opportunities to improve/update as required of the messaging * Utilize standardized Baxter clinical program resources/tools to drive consistency in approach and deliverables in project-based work. * Ensure project deliverables occur on-time and communication back to the sales team on a regular basis (i.e. Project updates, progress, issues/risks, results) * Effectively facilitate project meetings using standardized templates (agendas, approved presentations) and manage conflict to keep projects on track * Leverage support of other internal resources (marketing, sales, cross-functions) as required to ensure successful execution of project through completion * Evaluate project success through demonstrated results achieved aligned to both project goals (Baxter (clinical, financial impact) aligned to both project goals and Baxter’s business objectives. * Log key deliverables and activities into Salesforce.com as the primary means of communication and analytics on clinical support for the renal franchise. * Prepare a written high level summary report of project work to be used for business reviews with sales/customers once project completed.

Clinical Education for External Customers * Contribute the enhancement and standardization of new clinical education content whereby key messages are aligned with annual marketing plans and business priorities * Conduct a comprehensive clinical educational needs assessment for sales teams for future project planning purposes as required. * Deliver standardized and approved presentations on topics related to Baxter’s Products and Home Therapies (PD/HHD) as required with key customers leveraging current literature (from Global Medical Affairs CMT) and/or clinical practice guidelines (CPGs) as appropriate * Support new product launches as identified and required * Leverage current and future resources (i.e. e-learning) to augment clinical educational needs of customers as applicable * Leverage technology (i.e. WebEx, E-learning, Applications) platforms to augment the educational experience for customers and extend clinical education to new market segments in more efficient ways * Drive increased product adoption and demand via facilitating outcome measures (KPIs) work with customers using Baxter’s current and future software platforms. * Participate or develop clinical educational workshops for professional associations/organizations in order to further the product and therapy messaging and training within the market. * Support customers in the preparation of oral, poster presentations based on project work within a program which supports demonstrating the value of Baxter and the project results to the broader market * Utilize standardized evaluation methods post clinical training with customers to capture the value of the support to the renal franchise & customers * Log key deliverables and activities into Salesforce.com as the primary means of communication and analytics on clinical support for the renal franchise * Evaluate customer satisfaction with new program offerings and identify key performance metrics to evaluate ROI.

Clinical Program Development Support * Support the development of standardized program content and process (project plans) for current and future clinical programs as assigned working collaboratively with marketing, sales and cross-functions as identified. This may include work in the areas of New E-Learning Programs, Renal APP development, Clinical Practice Guidelines Presentations, Clinical Program content (i.e. Unplanned Start, Advanced Cycler Training etc). * Clinical program content may be specific to Baxter products and/or advanced therapy training in the areas of PD/HHD.

Business Alignment with the Renal Organization & Extended Teams * Active participant in account planning and business planning cycles as required. * Ensuring personal development plans in place for career planning and progression in roles (new or future). * Support additional business needs as required (i.e. FCA support)

Education Level * University Undergraduate Degree (Business, Health Sciences) required. * Graduate Degree (Business, Health Sciences) preferred.

Major Subjects / Specialties Required: * Business

Preferred: * Health Sciences

Type of Experience Required: * Experience leading teams (clinical leads, educator, professional practice leader in hospital environment) * Experience in patient education * Prior sales or marketing experience

Preferred: * Progressive professional experience in areas of healthcare education and/or project management in executing clinical programs

Years of Experience Required: * Minimum 3 – 5 years in nephrology nursing (ICHD, PD, or CKD) in a healthcare environment

Preferred: * Preference given to candidates with recent HHD and/or PD experience.
