Job Summary:

Maintain and repair the facility’s structure, equipment and grounds. Perform moderately routine work relating to electrical, plumbing, carpentry and painting. Make periodic and special inspections of the premise to determine repair work when necessary; work from blue prints, drawings and rough sketches.

Essential Functions*:

Main job duties;

• Perform maintenance on manufacturing equipment as necessary.

• Perform moderately routine preventive maintenance functions on equipment.

• Perform moderately routine semi-skilled maintenance and repair to building such as electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and carpentry.

• Perform chemical change-out and replenishment for manufacturing areas.

Additional duties to include;

• Perform janitorial functions as necessary.

• Maintain grounds and roadways.

• Participate in safety training and actively comply with safety policies and practices.

• Perform other related duties as assigned such as: Cardboard Baling, snow and ice removal, chemical handling, office/equipment moves, landscaping/mowing.

• May require training in Hazardous Materials Handling.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Minimum of 5 years of related maintenance technician experience to include electrical, plumbing and carpentry.

• Must have a general knowledge of ISO requirements and working knowledge of those requirements as they pertain to preventive maintenance of equipment used in support of product manufacture.

• High level of initiative and strong work ethic.

• Requires valid Driver’s License.

Physical Requirements:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear.

• This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day.

• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The hourly rate for this position generally ranges from $19.75 to $25.00. This range is an estimate, based on potential employee qualifications, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.
