Amazon Sr. Account Exec, US Insurance, AGS-NAMER-US-COV-SALES-FSI-Insurance-E in New York, New York

Description

The US Insurance sales team is seeking a world-class sales professional to manage our customer relationships with enterprise-level insurance firms in the NY/NJ area.

The Account Manager is responsible for partnering with the customers to build strategic relationships, articulate a clear vision for how AWS can help them differentiate in a competitive environment, and generate business value. The AM is responsible for selling at the most strategic level within the customer, and implementing a broad strategy for earning customer trust and accelerating service adoption. The AM will work with appropriate AWS OneTeam members (executives, solution architects, specialist sales, industry resources, partner, Proserve, and support and service teams) to support customer interests. AMs will also cultivate case studies and other forms of customer references highlighting activity and workloads running on AWS.

Key job responsibilities

  • Leading the AWS customer OneTeam.

  • Identifying and building trusted advisor relationships with key customer influencers and decision-makers, specifically CxOs.

  • Working closely with AWS teams, as well as external SI and ISV partners, to support the best business solution for customers.

  • Defining a CXO relationship strategy, coordinating executive business reviews, and maintaining customer satisfaction levels.

  • Displaying a strong leadership presence. An AM should be seen as an authority, and should be an effective communicator via email, phone, and face to face. AMs must be comfortable writing executive briefing documents for, and communicating with, the most senior executives.

  • Operating with significant autonomy and discretion. A high degree of decision making is required, and business judgment is critical.

  • Managing the sales pipeline via Salesforce and facilitating all stages of a sale.

  • Participating in and leading the negotiation and closing of legal agreements, such as EAs, and contracts, such as PPAs.

  • Maintaining an operating knowledge of AWS’ service catalog, and communicating the relevance of AWS services to customers’ business problems.

  • Helping define product requirements by understanding and evangelizing the needs of customers through PFRs.

  • Working with marketing and communications to develop customer references.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of direct sales or business development in software, cloud or SaaS markets selling to C-level executives experience

  • 7+ years of business development, partner development, sales or alliances management experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of building profitable partner ecosystems experience

  • Experience developing detailed go to market plans

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $114,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $212,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
