Kelly Services Electrical Engineering Technician in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

Job Title: Electrical Engineering Technician

Night Shift 12AM to 8AM - $32/hr + 10% shift differential

Summary: Proof of US citizenship, nationality, or permanent resident status is required to comply with all applicable export and import laws and regulations. Support Morgantown operations by maintaining the integrity of furnace controls, power supplies, spare circuit boards, electrical systems, and parts.

Essential Functions:

  • Interpret equipment symptoms during troubleshooting and resolve issues promptly.

  • Utilize effective troubleshooting techniques to identify electrical and control system problems.

  • Efficiently test and repair electronic/electrical equipment, circuits, and components.

  • Perform calibrations and adjustments according to approved procedures.

  • Conduct functional testing of repaired boards and parts.

  • Tag and inventory boards and parts to indicate repair and test status.

  • Organize spare parts and supplies efficiently.

  • Document repairs, services, calibrations, etc.

  • Maintain logbooks documenting maintenance and repair history on equipment.

  • Utilize and maintain standard electronic test equipment.

  • Maintain furnace equipment and coordinate repairs with other Electronic Technicians.

  • Maintain electrical/electronic schematics, documenting changes.

  • Handle multiple assignments and changing priorities effectively.

  • Coordinate electronic components requiring off-site repair.

  • Must be able to wear a respirator.

  • Willingness to work overtime to meet project deadlines and customer demands.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • Language Skills: Ability to read, write, and speak effectively.

  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions.

  • Education and Experience: High School Diploma/GED required; 2-year degree in Electronics desired. 2 years' relevant electronic troubleshooting and repair experience. Good understanding of solid-state circuitry. Mechanical aptitude. Furnace Operator experience desired.

Special Skills:

  • Progressive requirements for advancement within the Electronics Technician role.

  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks.

  • Work Environment: Typically a mill or manufacturing setting with exposure to various environmental factors.
