Job Description

What you will do:

* Perform assigned system commissioning using Johnson Controls configuration and commissioning tools.

* Troubleshooting and re-solving basic HVAC mechanical, electrical, and controls problems.

* Respond to basic warranty calls.

* Provide customers with the highest level of service to solve building inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.

* Be solution oriented.

How you will do it:

* Load system-level controller software.

* Perform basic commissioning and system diagnostics from system-level controllers to end devices (i.e. sensors, actuators, etc.)

* Keep management and JCI contractors/customers informed of job progress or issues.

* Calibrate systems requiring basic electronic test equipment.

* Complete administrative tasks including but not limited to timesheets, expense reports, and on-site documentation.

* Document changes and provide information for as-built documentation.

* Communicate with the JCI contractor or customer upon arrival and before leaving the work site.

* Follow all safety standards and attend required safety trainings.

o Have a high regard to employee and subcontractor safety.

* Provided quotes to support recommendations and solutions.

Skills and Requirements

* 2-year degree in electronics, mechanical systems, computer technology, air conditioning or similar field OR at least 2-years of industry experience servicing electronic and/or mechanical systems in the HVAC industry.

* Knowledge of HVAC controls systems, facilities management systems, site preparation/equipment installation and servicing techniques.

* PC experience with the ability to program HVAC related software.

* Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.

o Leadership skills to support the activities of mechanics working on non-complex, non-critical building automation equipment on a job site.

* Interpersonal skills to properly represent Johnson Controls to customers and other outside contacts in an ethical and professional manner. null
