Field Service Engineer
Responsible for the commissioning, routine maintenance and fault diagnosis/rectification on a wide range of emergency lighting systems. A good understanding of BS5266 is required and excellent communication skills is essential when customer facing. Time management skills will be necessary to ensure work is completed on time and to a high standard while working in accordance with the relevant health and safety requirements.
Essential Functions:
• Promote the interests and further the business of the Company
• Commission all aspects of the emergency lighting systems, ensuring that the system complies with the relevant British Standards
• Carry out routine maintenance of emergency lighting systems
• Ability to conduct fault diagnosis on emergency lighting systems and understand the results so that correct rectification work can be identified and completed
• Work effectively, efficiently and to a high standard
• Jobs will be assigned to you and completed in a timely manner with detailed reports provided to document the work completed and any relevant recommendations
• Customer liaison will be essential to the role so good communication skills are required
• You will be required to work in a safe manner in accordance with Eaton’s health and safety policies
• A good understanding of BS5266
• As part of a small team, travel away from home will be necessary with overnight stays where appropriate

3 year’s experience in an electrical or emergency lighting service/commission role
Skills:
• Converse in British Standard 5266
• Excellent customer service skills
• Microsoft packages, Outlook, Excel, Word.
• understanding of electrical and electronics"
Interpersonal, Listening, Influencing skills, verbal communication in person and on the telephone.
