Job Summary
The NVH Project Engineer II will execute Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) and durability testing. The role will coordinate the support staff, test equipment and test facilities to meet program requirements for a variety of projects. The NVH Project Engineer II will quote, plan and execute tests, present results from projects to customers and manage small NVH or durability programs.
As a NVH Project Engineer II, you will:
Execute NVH and durability testing projects
Coordinates the use of support staff, test equipment, and test facilities to meet program deliverables for a variety of projects
Plan tests, installs transducers, conducts data acquisition, conducts data processing, prepares test reports, makes improvement recommendations, and presents results from projects to customers
Manages small NVH or durability programs
Use Siemens, HBK Pulse, MTS and Head Acoustics hardware and software for data acquisition and data analysis. Use strain gauges and load cells for durability testing
Use microphones and accelerometers for acoustic and vibration measurements
To be considered a NVH Project Engineer II, you will need:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field
Minimum of 3 years of testing experience
Good driving record
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization and present technical information clearly
Experienced multi-tasker and team player with excellent interpersonal skills, both verbal and written
Experience with diagnosing and solving NVH problems using experimental and analytical resources
Knowledge of Siemens software for NVH data acquisition and processing
U.S. Persons allowing for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) compliance
A successful candidate may also have:
Ability to use computer aided engineering (CAE) tools for statics and dynamics simulations. Able to use CAE to solve issues related to at least one of: stress, durability or NVH
Experienced in MTS Flextest software for testing and data acquisition
Experience with MTS RPC Pro for drive file development.
Understanding of Suspension and Chassis systems engineering
Ability to operate MTS 329LT 6-DOF road simulator
