Job Description: Our client has an exciting opportunity in our Information Technology group. We are looking for a Security Engineer with excellent technical Data Loss Prevention skills, along with communication skills, both verbal and written to join our Cyber Security Team. The candidate should be able to influence and drive Data Loss Prevention by performing platform engineering, system management, and incident response. The candidate must have the ability to work and solve problems independently within a changing environment while being customer focused and building strong relationships. Key Responsibilities: Provide day to day and project related support for multiple DLP platforms, including systems configuration, agent management, and system integration. Execute daily tasks of discovery, alerting and tuning of DLP platforms. Provide Data Loss Prevention program support for current and future DLP capabilities. Interface with end users, peers, other IT teams and leadership to provide education, case status updates and recommend solutions for improved services and problem resolution to mature the security organization. Stay up to date with existing and emerging security technologies that can be adopted at Client. Be able to provide cross functional support of a broad range of security tools in use at Client. Cultivate, maintain, and promote a strong safety culture and follow all safety policies, procedures, and regulations. Identify and communicate workplace hazards and correct or seek assistance in correcting unsafe actions or conditions. Experience in security that wants to protect org's data. Strong background in IT, how IT stuff works. Data Protection, DLP technology Required Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Security Non-IT related degrees considered based upon experience 3+ years of experience in an IT infrastructure environment. 1+ years of experience working in data security domains: Email Data Security SAAS Data Security Endpoint Data Security Structured and Unstructured Data Security Preferred Qualifications: (desired) Experience with Microsoft M365 and Azure data protection capabilities. Preferred information security domain certifications such as Certified Information Security Support Professional (CISSP), GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) or Security+ Certified Professional. Knowledge in IT architecture, design, and implementation of security technologies and controls. Possess a strong drive to use security to enable the business and deliver a positive experience to other technology organizations across Client. Passionate about security and inquisitive by nature, like learning new things, and are comfortable making decisions in situations of uncertainty.
