Eversource Energy Associate Substation Analyst (Hybrid) in Hooksett, New Hampshire

This position entails supporting the creation and maintenance of performance measurement, reporting, and analyses to provide decision support information for corporate and business area leaders, aiding in goal achievement. Additionally, it involves collaborating with team members and departments on both routine tasks and special projects, while also overseeing program and contract administration responsibilities for Eversource Substation Operations. This includes providing data and analytical process support, participating in task forces and special studies, conducting financial and economic analyses, administering programs and records, and establishing and monitoring standards and metrics.

This is a hybrid role. The first three months are fulltime in the office.

Essential Functions:

  • Execute activities and/or objectives accurately and timely.
  • Contribute to a positive, professional, cooperative, and efficient work atmosphere.
  • Keep managers and/or team leaders informed of issues, impediments, and progress.
  • Support the preparation of data, presentations, reports, or information.
  • Collect performance data and information from various sources.
  • Keep all data collection tools organized and updated throughout the year.
  • Understand, validate, and communicate performance results and progress of business initiatives.
  • Validate results and reconcile discrepancies when necessary.
  • Utilize various tools and methodologies to create useful reports with actionable information.
  • Monitor the performance of reports and make recommendations for optimization or improvement.
  • Monitor data integrity.
  • Reconcile contractor invoices for work during blue-sky and emergent situations against contractual allowances and approved rates.

Technical Knowledge/Skill/Education/Licenses/Certifications:

Technical Knowledge/Skill:

  • Problem solving skills and ability to analyze data.
  • Excellent listening, communication, interpersonal and presentation skills.
  • Adept at producing detailed and accurate written documentation.
  • Requires self-directed work ethic and abilities, capable of taking the lead on action items or initiatives while also collaborating with others within and outside of the department.
  • Basic accounting theory, functional practices and procedures and financial reporting
  • Strong mathematics capabilities and conceptual/analytics capabilities
  • Must be able to identify and ensure data quality and accuracy.
  • Requires the ability to design, build, analyze and interpret data models (relational tables or databases).
  • Advanced Excel & reporting tools skills, process analysis tools use.
  • Preferred expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Microsoft Power Platform: Power BI, PowerApps, and Microsoft Flow. Power BI, including DAX, highly desired.

  • Experience in Microsoft Excel and Access development. Proficiency with Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) programming, including ability to analyze, debug, and/or enhance existing VBA applications.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experience performing financial reporting and analyses is preferred.

Experience :

  • Zero to three years of experience

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Eversource offers a competitive total rewards program. The annual salary range for this position is $72,890.00 to $80,990.00, plus incentive. Salary is commensurate with your experience. Check out the career site for an overview of benefits.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be available to work emergency restoration assignment as required.
  • Must be available to travel between MA/CT/NH as necessary.
