Amazon Accounts Payable Analyst, AP Retail in Heredia, Costa Rica

Amazon Finance & Global Business Services (FGBS) plays a key role in the company’s mission to be Earth’s most customer centric company. FGBS includes finance functions like Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A), Accounting, Tax, as well as other functions like Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF), Investor Relations, and Benchmark.

The FGBS Team is looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst to join Accounts Payable Retail operation in Costa Rica. The successful candidate will support LATAM operations. Primary responsibilities will include AP reconciliation, high priority invoice processing, tickets resolution, inboxes management, escalation handling, meeting ownership, top vendor management and discussion while keeping the highest levels of controller-ship and Customer Obsession.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has excellent problem-solving and analytical skills and is always driving for solutions, without compromising accuracy. The candidate needs to have excellent prioritization, communication and organization skills and is able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities include:

· Reconcile, audit, and monitor vendor accounts with high complexity

· Invoice analysis and posting

· Metrics, KPI reporting

· Partnering with vendors to resolve account statement discrepancies.

· Work closely with finance operations teams in different locations for timely transaction processing.

· Deliver guide to vendors to clarify accounts payable processes.

· Engage with retail, inbound operations or accounting for vendor inquires resolution.

· Support organizational/operational projects

· Interaction with internal stakeholders, vendor managers, financial communication partners, business partners.

· Support with ad-hoc transactions (reports, queries, etc).

Heredia, H, CRI

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of finance experience

  • 2+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience

  • Knowledge of standard software including Excel, Access, Oracle, Essbase, SQL and VBA skills

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions

  • Master's degree in accounting, information systems, finance, or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience

  • Experience in TM1, Data Warehouse and SQL
