Description We are providing a unique employment opportunity for an Accounting Clerk in the transport industry. The position is based in Haverhill, Massachusetts, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The role primarily involves various accounting tasks, including invoice management, billing, and data entry.

Responsibilities:

• Accurate and efficient processing of customer credit applications

• Maintaining comprehensive and precise customer credit records

• Resolving customer inquiries related to credit

• Monitoring customer credit accounts for any discrepancies or issues

• Taking appropriate action to collect any delinquent payments

• Assisting in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Processing and entering invoices in a timely manner

• Utilizing Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks for various accounting tasks

• Assisting with billing and other accounting functions as needed

• Handling requests for missing paperwork and ensuring all documents are properly scanned and stored. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) processes

• Experience in Billing and Invoice Processing

• Strong skills in Data Entry and entering invoices

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and QuickBooks

• Experience in the Transport industry is a plus

• Proven ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good organizational and time management skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field preferred

• Relevant certification, such as Certified Bookkeeper (CB), is desirable.
