Cargill Human Resources Analyst - Payroll in Guatemala City, Guatemala

Purpose and impact at work

The Human Resources Analyst will apply technical knowledge to carry out moderately complex payroll activities. In this role, she will ensure compliance with country regulations, help manage transfers and help provide advisory guidance in the development of guidelines and procedures.

Key responsibilities

• Handle key requirements of new regulations to advise the team on country or region specific law updates.

• Ensure payroll setup meets legal and tax requirements and records are aligned with guidelines.

• Provide advice on local technical payroll regulations.

• Ensure an accurate payroll process for transfers and related activities.

• Analyze and review current payroll to improve methods and monitor implementation.

• Attend conference calls and meetings to obtain information on relevant payroll topics.

• Independently resolve moderately complex problems with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex problems to appropriate staff.

Qualifications

Minimum qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience

• Minimum of two years of related work experience

• Intermediate-advanced level of English B2+ (fluent)

• Intermediate level of excel

• Availability to move between plants when necessary in Guatemala City

Preferred qualifications

• SAP system management

• Previous experience in a human resources, finance or administration role

• Exposure to HR tools and payroll applications

• Previous experience in employee management
