Position Overview:

as a Senior Cost Accountant, you will be responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and reporting on financial data related to our company's costs of goods sold (COGS), inventory valuation, and overall cost structure. You will play a critical role in providing insights and recommendations to management to optimize cost efficiencies, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the cost accounting function, including but not limited to cost analysis, cost variance analysis, and inventory management.

• Analyze manufacturing processes, labor, and materials to determine standard costs and identify areas for cost reduction and process improvement.

• Develop and maintain standard costing models and ensure accurate allocation of costs to products and services.

• Conduct regular inventory valuation and reconcile discrepancies between physical and book inventory.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations, procurement, and finance to ensure accurate recording and reporting of costs.

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to cost performance, inventory valuation, and margin analysis.

• Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making and strategic planning initiatives.

• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes by providing cost-related inputs and assumptions.

• Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and company policies.

  Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA certification preferred.

• 5+ years of experience in cost accounting or related field, preferably in manufacturing.

• Solid understanding of cost accounting principles, standard costing, and inventory valuation methods.

• Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and advanced proficiency in MS Excel.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and generate actionable insights.
