Job Title Regrind Operator Job Grade 06 FLSA Code Ho Hourly Effective Date 2/3/2022 POSITION SUMMARY The purpose of this position is to grind internally created scrap back in to forms that can be utilized in the manufacturing process. This individual reports to the Extrusion Supervisor. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Safety Follows plant safety procedures and guidelines Know emergency procedures and what to do in the event of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc. Wears and utilizes personal protective equipment (PPE) as required Understand and identifies Lock-out/Tag-out procedures Informs supervisor of safety issues; reports any workplace injury or incident immediately Tasks Verifies material type in grinder Verifies grinder is properly hooked up to designated flake tank or labeled Gaylord Grinds only like materials Feeds material into grinder at a consistent pace that will not plug or stop grinder Grinds material and runs roll crusher Document all pounds ground Properly labels gaylords with correct material type and weight Do not grind material without Forming: Non-Compliant Re-process Material form Breaks down empty Gaylords and stack neatly Keeps area clean and ensures no plastic is left on the floor Thoroughly cleans out grinder for different material types / color by utilizing LOTO Purges change over into proper location (Tank / Gaylord) Understands labeling process when using gaylords Understands what cross contamination is and how to avoid it Supports company Food Safety efforts through commitment and compliance to SQF standard practices and policies Assists other workers with specific tasks as requested Follow plant quality practices including Good Manufacturing Practices, or GMPs QUALIFICATIONS Willingness to work and follow verbal/written instructions Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills Must be able to read, write and speak English High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) PHYSICAL DEMANDS Stand F (Frequently) Lift/Carry Walk F (Frequently) 10 lbs or less O (Occasionally) Sit F (Frequently) 11 lbs - 20 lbs O (Occasionally) Handling O (Occasionally) 21 lbs - 50 lbs N (Not Applicable) Reach/Outward O (Occasionally) 51 lbs - 100 lbs N (Not Applicable) Reach Above Shoulder O (Occasionally) Over 100 lbs N (Not Applicable) Climb N (Not Applicable) Push/Pull Crawl N (Not Ap
