Accord Power Inc. Junior Residential Project Manager in Flushing, New York
Accord Power is seeking highly motivated and technically driven individuals to join our solar development project management team. Junior Project Managers (“JPM”) will work alongside our senior team to learn the ins and outs of solar project lifecycle management. JPMs should demonstrate a strong self-starter attitude and acute attention to detail.
Junior Project Managers will be assigned to our residential department in our Flushing, NY office. JPMs will be responsible for:
In Office
Diligently track project pipeline and progress schedules to ensure all projects are seamlessly moving forward, and address any bottlenecks and roadblocks
Prepare and manage project applications and provide weekly status summaries, including but not limited to Department of Building Permits, ConEdison Interconnection and NYSERDA solar incentives.
Coordinate cross-functional / third-party teams (i.e., architectural, electrical engineering, structural engineering, expeditors, etc.) and serve as the primary project owner that will be accountable for timely delivery of application documents and reports.
Prepare, track and manage project budgets and provide weekly budget variance reports for completed projects
Support residential procurement team by coordinating deliveries and field activities with all in-house installation teams, homeowners and subcontractors to ensure material is onsite when needed
Support residential sales team by preparing solar proposals in a timely manner ensuring that turnaround times are in-line with sales team objectives
Manage project close out inspections and provide project completion status reports
In the Field
Conduct preliminary site visit to determine solar feasibility and potential construction challenges, and provide written site survey report
Conduct Quality Assurance assessment and photo document completed installations
Conduct quick fixes on the job site
Some Requirements
Associates degree is required
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office including Word and Excel, Adobe Acrobat
Working knowledge of architectural plans and/or the permitting process a plus
Professional communication skills and the ability to work with a diverse range of people
Valid US Driver’s license and reliable transportation
OSHA 30 is a plus not required (must be willing and able to obtain after employment start)
NABCEP certifications is a plus not required (must be willing and able to obtain after employment start)
Bi-lingual applicants are a plus (Spanish preferred)
