Sr Manager, Upstream Service Marketing

Location: Deerfield

Summary

This critical role is responsible for the upstream commercial strategy needs & initiatives for the Global Service Organization for the products you support, which includes working with upstream product marketing teams within the Baxter GBU to gather customer insights, develop the value proposition for new or existing service offers, define requirements for new product development efforts, as well as work with regional service marketing & service operations counterparts to support product and service offer launches and drive order intake. This role will be responsible for working with a geographically and culturally diverse team of people that work across multiple time zones in an office and virtual environment. Successful candidates will be excited to shape the future for the overall commercial strategy for the Global Service Organization and our Customers as new capabilities in connectivity and digital health create new options for building service value & offers that are meaningful to Baxter’s customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Act as the global subject matter expert within Service for the products you support, understanding the clinical and service value propositions, install base, installation and service strategy, service offers & revenue flows, and end of life and launch plans for those products

  • Partner with GBU Marketing teams and Service Engineering to ensure Technical Service value proposition and selling messages are incorporated in new product development, sales trainings, launches & geographic expansions

  • Lead the development of commercial service offerings that support new product development, digital products and transformation of after-market service experiences for the product lines supported

  • Monitor and drive global revenue, capture rates, and service order intake for the products and service offers you support

  • Partner with senior leadership to develop the service commercial and marketing strategy for the products supported to drive long-term top-line revenue growth for the Global Services Organization

  • Work cross-functionally GBU marketing leads, service engineering, finance, marketing operations and other cross-functional team members to accomplish primary activities

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 8 years or more progressive leadership in strategic product marketing

  • Experience in global healthcare required

  • Experience in service marketing preferred

  • Commercial or sales experience a plus

  • Demonstrated experience in performing market research and using voice of customer, benchmarking, and market insights to develop commercial strategy and influence product development roadmaps.

  • Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset with the ability to use data, analysis, and financial acumen to drive decision-making.

  • Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to create, implement and maintain strategic initiatives using innovative thinking and problem skills.

  • Strong work ethic, ability to take initiative without direct oversight and to work independently in a fast paced, evolving environment.

  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities in a multi-cultural, global setting.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders at once.
