Product Stewardship Specialist - JR2416024

DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES: As the Product Stewardship Specialist, you will work as a member of the product stewardship team with multiple functions to ensure safe handling of PPG products by customers. You will report to the Director, Product Stewardship and you will provide product regulatory compliance support and deliver excellent service to all PPG businesses.

Key Responsibilities * Monitor existing and emerging regulations; evaluate and communicate the potential impact to PPG products and businesses. * Evaluate products for compliance against various government regulations and customer requirements. * Respond to customer product stewardship requests with a customer-centric sense of urgency. * Coordinate and prepare compliance reports to government agencies. * Effectively share information and provide guidance to a wide variety of PPG functions including technical, marketing, supply chain, and manufacturing/operations. * Collaborate with regional and global colleagues to develop, integrate, and support processes to manage product stewardship requirements. * Identify and inspire change as needed with a focus on process development and improvements.

Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in EHS field, chemistry, engineering, or related science, required. * 3+ years of product stewardship experience; working knowledge of product/chemical regulatory requirements in United States and Canada (e.g. TSCA, DSL, FIFRA, OSHA GHS, WHMIS, Proposition 65). * Well-organized with good record-keeping and document management skills. * Knowledge of consumer product regulations, transportation of dangerous good regulations along with volatile organic compound (VOC) regulations is preferred. * Microsoft Office proficiency; SAP experience is a plus.
