The Senior Analyst, Government Accounts is responsible for all aspects of Omnicare’s RFP response efforts for all government and private sector accounts, in addition to responsibility for Omnicare’s existing government contracting business across the country at the local, state and federal levels. This includes new business lead generation and monitoring of existing business for contract expiration and/or bid/RFP issuance. The Sr Analyst, Government Accounts drafts and files responses to all government and private sector bids and RFPs, including, but not limited to leading, drafting and strategizing both the technical and pricing aspects of all proposals and bids to ensure both a successful and legally compliant submission. During this process, all legal and compliance issues are identified, addressed, and resolved within the bid/RFP by working extensively with Omnicare legal, compliance and other teams. The Sr Analyst, Government Accounts is involved in many government contract negotiations and contract-related issues. Experience with government purchasing, related rules and proceedings is preferred, including public records requests and protests. This individual annually leads projects which can cumulatively involve tens of thousands of beds and hundreds of millions of dollars in contract revenue. The number of bids and RFPs responded to varies on an annual basis and may range from 40 to 70 in a typical year.

This position will also provide ad hoc assistance to the Contracting Support team for non-RFP contract requests. The Contracting Support team acts as the main point of contact between all members of the Sales and Account Management teams, and cross functional teams (such as Financial Planning & Analysis, Credit, and Legal) to expedite vital contract processes and ensure accuracy. Contracting Support is responsible for previewing cost analysis, pricing proposals, RFPs, and providing feedback to Sales & Account Management with the end goal being a new contract or amendment.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$43,700.00 - $102,000.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
