For more information on our benefits go to Nucor.com/benefits Basic Job Functions: * Evaluates all accounts payable balances and solves payment discrepancies * Review A/R aging and resolve past due transactions * Oversee cash application process for accuracy and timeliness * Completes intercompany billing and reconciliations * Collaborates with various internal departments to ensure accuracy of customer billing * Assists with month end close as needed * Prepare journal entries for any items requiring posting to the general ledger * Provides assistance and support for all accounting functions within the company as necessary * Special projects as necessary Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: * Minimum two years of experience in a business environment * Ability to adapt to changes in work priorities * Excellent communication skills * Microsoft Word and Excel experience required * Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and profitability * Proven communication skills both verbal and written, organization and planning skills Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor degree in a business discipline or 4 years related work experience.
