Production Technician I

Classification: Non-exempt, hourly

Reports to: Production Supervisor

Summary/Objective:

The Production Technician I role is an entry level role that is responsible for working with the Production team to build Motive Power batteries. The position reports to the Production Supervisor who leads day-to-day activities. This role is responsible for interpreting a work order and pulling stock items to properly build batteries to specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operate a forklift
• Operate overhead hoist
• Ability to use a multimeter to verify DC voltage of battery cells to ensure proper placement in the battery
• Ability to follow a work order to determine required parts, independently
• Ability to determine how to install cells in a tray based on forklift battery layout
• Operate and maintain a safe work environment

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• Basic knowledge of series electrical circuits
• Assembly or manufacturing experience preferred

Job Requirements, Skills, and Abilities

• High school diploma
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
• Ability to read a table measure
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high demand environment
