Description We are on the lookout for a skilled Staff Accountant to join our team in Calabasas, California. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity that involves a range of accounting responsibilities such as analyzing and reporting on various accounts, preparing monthly balance sheets and reconciliations, tracking and managing tax payments, and maintaining fixed assets. You will be expected to support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, ensure proper internal controls and policies are maintained, and assist with special projects as assigned.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting responsibilities which can include different event operations.

• Analyze and report on various accounts, including fixed costs such as marketing, consulting, repairs & maintenance, and travel & entertainment on a monthly basis.

• Prepare and handle monthly balance sheets and reconciliations.

• Track and manage tax payments for various states.

• Maintain fixed assets by processing and tracking asset additions and deletions, ensuring capitalization policies are followed.

• Support timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close processes, including journal entries and reporting packages.

• Ensure proper internal controls and policies and procedures are maintained.

• Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned. Requirements • Proficiency in Account Analysis

• Proficient in preparing Monthly Balance Sheets

• Capability to perform Monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience in maintaining Fixed Assets

• Proficiency in Year-end Close activities

• Experience in Month-end Close Activities

• Proficiency in Month End Close tasks

• Ability to prepare Balance Sheets
