CoreCivic Director, PREA Programs and Compliance in Brentwood, Tennessee

The Director, PREA Programs and Compliance, manages and implements CoreCivic policies and procedures in compliance with Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA) Standards. Coordinates company PREA audit compliance efforts, PREA training, PREA reporting requirements, and sexual abuse investigations.

  • Facilitates contractual agreements and Memorandum of Understanding with external agencies such as rape crisis centers, law enforcement, and outside victim advocates, to provide PREA related program services and resources.

  • Participates in drafting, developing, and implementingpoliciesandprocedures to ensure compliance with PREA standardsand audit requirements.

  • Reviews and tracks facility PREA Investigations to ensure quality, adherence with PREA Standards, CoreCivic Policy, and nationally recognized standards.Participates in PREA investigation meetings/calls to assess compliance with PREA standards or recommend corrective action.

  • Coordinates specialized training required by PREA Standards for facility investigators on conducting Sexual Abuse Investigations, including, but not limited to, interviewing techniques, and evidence collection protocol.

  • Coordinatestraining onPREArequirementsforstaff,contractors,volunteers.

  • ServesasliaisonandresourceformanagementandpartneragenciesonPREArelatedinquiriesandproceduralquestions.

  • Providestechnicalguidance, training,anddirectiontofacilityPREA Compliance Managers and Quality Assurance Managers supportingfacility PREA compliance efforts.

  • Prepares facilities for PREA Audits by establishing file format, reviewing file documentation, and developing corrective action plans.Attends on-site audits with internal and external auditors as needed.

  • Collects,maintains,andpreparesreportsrelatingtoPREAstatisticaldata. Analyzesstatisticaldatacollectedtoincludeallincident-baseddocuments,reports,incidentreviews,andinvestigationfiles,toassessandimprovetheeffectivenessofPREA compliance program.

  • Collects,reviews,andmonitorsindustryrelatedinformationconcerningPREAprevention,detectionandresponsebestpractices.

  • Member FSC PREA Committee.

  • Domestic U.S. travelrequired.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree is required.

  • Five years of experience in corrections, law enforcement, victims' services and/or equivalent experience in conducting sexual abuse investigations is required.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of and training in the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA), as well as principles and practices of conducting sexual abuse investigations is required.

  • Progress toward PREA certification within two years of hire date.

  • Experience in correctional data analysis is preferred.

  • Experience in providing training related to sexual abuse prevention is preferred.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, organizational and project management skills required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.

  • A valid driver’s license is required.
