The Lead Software Engineer II for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible to design, develop and troubleshoot software applications for legacy and new medical device products

This position is part of the Urinalysis Business Unit located in India Development Center, Bangalore and will be hybrid. At Beckman Coulter, our vision is to relentlessly reimagine healthcare, one diagnosis at a time.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Be a key contributor in the software engineering team that develops software for commercial, medical devices

  • Prototype, design, implement and maintain software applications.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Participate in cross-functional project teams to resolve software issues.

  • Work in an obeya environment with cross functional teams on new product development while adhering to software development processes.

  • Write technical specifications for interfaces and testing.

  • Work using Agile development principles.

  • Report status in daily management.

  • Participate in sprint planning and sprint demos.

  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science or related field with no less than 5+ years of experience, or Master’s/PhD degree with 3+ years in a software industry.

  • Experience designing and developing .NET-based solutions written in C#.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline deployment is a plus.

  • Test driven development experience is a plus.

  • Understanding of software development processes for a regulated environment (ISO9000/FDA) is a plus.
