Description

We are looking for a meticulous Staff Accountant to join our team in the non-profit industry, located in Baltimore, Maryland. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing reconciliations and ensuring bank statements are reconciled. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting regular bank reconciliations and maintaining accurate records.

• Managing grant revenue and invoicing funders as required.

• Handling accounts receivable and ensuring timely collection.

• Utilizing QuickBooks Online for various accounting tasks.

• Preparing and maintaining financial statements using Microsoft Excel.

• Leveraging SAP for various accounting and financial operations.

• Reconciling bank statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.

• Administering foundation grants and managing related financial activities.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in handling Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Skilled in using accounting software such as QuickBooks

• Ability to accurately process and reconcile bank statements

• Experience in managing Grants

• Proficient in using Microsoft Excel for data management and financial analysis

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
