Be a part of something special In this high profile, commercial role, reporting to the Senior Corporate Manager, Healthcare Solutions (HCS), you will work closely with New Zealand Health organisations, District Health Boards and Private Hospitals. Due to internal movements, the HCS Team are recruiting for a talented Corporate Business Manager to be based at our Mt Wellington, Auckland Office. This role is responsible for ensuring customer contracts are negotiated/renegotiated in line with agreed targets and relationships with key customers and government bodies are developed and maintained. What you will be doing You will interact with senior internal stakeholders (Business Unit Directors) and deal with C- suite customers externally to help set the commercial strategy for Healthcare Solutions.

  • Implement and maximise national agreements at hospital sites across New Zealand.

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with the executives of key hospitals to assist in raising Baxter’s profile

  • Work closely and keep open communication between stakeholders in the Baxter Business units and the HCS Commercial Team

  • In conjunction with the Senior Corporate Manager, develop and present Executive Business Reviews

  • Working with the ANZ team and divisional resources, develop tactics for both public and private accounts to drive profit and growth to achieve annual budgets

  • Considering market trends, develop business tactical plans for key accounts recommending development or modification to company or divisional strategies

  • Report hospital market trend information to assist in strategy development

  • Report on changes in Government policy, health initiatives and competitor activity

  • Represent Baxter in major negotiations, at conventions/seminars and liaise with business partners including Government representatives, industry associations and major suppliers

  • Ensure strong team work and high skill competency across New Zealand.

  • Manage all aspects of customer contracts including discount/rebate programs

  • In conjunction with the Senior Corporate Business Manager and Director, HCS, you will participate in the preparation of the New Zealand sales execution plan.

  • National and regional travel is required in this role.

    Essential Skills and Qualifications

  • Tertiary qualifications in relevant degree (Marketing, Business, Health Science or Science)

  • Experience in the Health Sector with at least 5 years’ commercial experience

  • Relationship Building and Stakeholder Management - the ability to build strong and positive relationships with executive stakeholders both internally and externally

  • Business / Commercial acumen

  • Planning and Organising - able to prioritise and develop realistic action plans and manage organisational change

  • Analytical skills / Problem Solving - use a systematic approach to solve problems and offer alternative solutions

  • Excellent Negotiation skills

  • Leadership and Team Building – demonstrated ability to work in teams to foster high morale and group commitments to goals and objectives

  • Highly developed verbal communication skills - present information, influence and persuade others, listen well

  • Written Communication - write clearly, present ideas effectively and document activities; ability to read and interpret written information

  • Strong customer focus and a passion for delivering customer satisfaction

  • Intermediate Microsoft skills (Word, Powerpoint, Excel)

  • Ability to work autonomously with a drive and determination to succeed
