Eaton Corporation Storekeeper in Amarillo, Texas

Eaton’s EPG CHD EP Americas division is currently seeking a Storekeeper at our location in Amarillo, TX. In this role, your duties will be to receive, identify, count, store, reorder and issue a variety of items such as raw materials, part, tools and equipment.

The hourly rate for this position is $21.71 - $27.14 per hour. The core hours are 7:00am to 3:30pm

What you’ll do:

• Assign storage locations as necessary

• Complete reorder forms and material requests accurately when stock levels reach reorder point and contact vendors to place orders for material

• Take inventory and maintain current inventory records

• Cycle count items verifying count, identity and location

• Perform all similar or related duties as required or directed

• Operate hand or forklift truck as material handling requirements dictate

• Make necessary pick-ups and deliveries of parts, tools and machine accessories throughout the plant as directed utilizing delivery vehicle or walking

• Perform cycle counts, inventory checks, and inventory of components used in the department

• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly manner

• Perform and maintain various recordkeeping duties and clerical operations

• Perform other duties as assigned throughout the facility

Qualifications:

• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates within a 50-mile radius of Amarillo, Texas will be considered. Active-Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation.

Preferred qualifications:

• Ability to utilize computers and use SAP

• Prior experience working in a team environment

• Prior experience driving powered industrial vehicles

Skills:

• Ability to stand and/or walk for 8-12 hours and to lift/carry 50 pounds

• Ability to work with limited supervision

• Ability to follow all safety regulations associated

• Forklift and frontend loader certified (powered industrial truck trained)

• Ability to read and comprehend instructions including use of open order report

• Ability to work around molten metal and in a production environment that is hot and subject to unexpected swings of overtime (ability to flex personal schedule to cover tasks on other shifts)

• Ability to work proactively and communicate effectively while working with all employees throughout plant

• Ability to perform basic computer functions as well as read, understand and work with complicated software programs including (but not limited to): eSafety, MESH Prism, SAP, Microsoft Office Suite

• Understand and utilize the procedures related to lockout/tagout
