Actalent is hiring a Crew Supervisor to work at a client site in Albany, performing process improvement, safety, and general production management functions. This is a long term position and bonus-eligible.

Description:

• Seeking 3 Crew Supervisors support their the following areas: Consolidations, Melting, and Chemical Operations, all with continuous production.

• This is a 4x4 rotational shift and will require some nights and weekend work. - Schedule is 2 days on day shift, then 2 days on night shift, with 4 days off.

• The Supervisor is a facilitator and a master problem solver and can trouble shoot systems and equipment.

• This person will lead processes and strategies to ensure that they are achieving and producing quality products that meet the customers requirements and goals and objectives.

• This Crew Supervisor will also be responsible for leading a team of 5-20 direct reports with diverse personalities.

• They are also responsible for the health and safety of the individuals on the floor, applying continuous improvements, training, coaching, motivating, and leading the employees

Qualifications:

• 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a manufacturing or in a heavy industrial environment.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Engineering, Manufacturing, Business or related field is preferred.

• Supervisory experience in a union environment is highly preferred.

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.

• High attention to detail

• Proficiency of Microsoft Office Software Suite, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

• Experience with LEAN manufacturing practices and continuous improvement concepts.

• PSM systems knowledge as well as management of change experience.
