Description of Duties:

The Semiconductor Equipment Engineer will provide expertise in the installation, maintenance and repair of equipment used for semiconductor processing. The Engineer performs on-site service and repair of semiconductor processing equipment, including preventative maintenance, troubleshooting equipment problems, and maintaining records and reports as needed. The Engineer will develop and implement improvements to enhance reliability, performance and long-term supportability of the Center's equipment and infrastructure.

Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in engineering or other applicable field of study.

  • 5+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry or closely coupled research field.

  • In case one or both of the above two requirements are not met, relevant combinations of education and experience may be considered, such a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a field other than engineering and 8+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry or closely coupled research field.

  • Experience with operating and maintaining semiconductor and laboratory equipment.

  • A strong aptitude and previous experience working with electronics, mechanics, vacuum technology and control devices.

  • Experience operating hand tools, meters, scopes, and other specialized equipment.

  • Requires ability to work in a diverse academic environment.

    Additional Information:

Salary: $70,000-$90,000
